Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using GiftCycles (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

GiftCycles is a gift-registry platform that enables parents and guardians (“Parents”) to create occasion-based giftlists for their children and share them with family and friends (“Gifters”). Gifters can browse giftlists and claim gifts without needing an account.

3. Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You may not share your account with others.
• We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent giftlist items.
• Attempt to access other users’ accounts without authorisation.
• Use automated tools to scrape or abuse the Service.
• Impersonate another person or entity.

5. Gift claims

When a Gifter claims a gift, they make a non-binding commitment to purchase that item. GiftCycles does not process payments and is not responsible for any transactions between Parents and Gifters. Claim identities are revealed to the Parent after a configurable anonymity period (default: 30 days after the occasion).

6. Affiliate links

Some purchase links on the Service may be affiliate links. If you make a purchase through an affiliate link, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This commission helps us maintain the Service.

7. Intellectual property

All content you upload (gift names, descriptions, images) remains yours. By uploading content, you grant GiftCycles a non-exclusive licence to display it within the Service for the purpose of providing the Service.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GiftCycles shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@giftcycles.com. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
